One-year Postgraduate Program
The University Postgraduate in Montessori Pedagogy, offered by Tu Guía Montessori in collaboration with the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA), is an international 18-month training program (12 months of study and 6 months for practice and final project) with 40 ECTS credits.
Aimed at teachers, management teams, childhood professionals (psychologists, therapists, speech therapists), families, and entrepreneurs interested in respectful education, this program trains participants to apply Montessori pedagogy (0-6 years) in educational contexts, domestic settings, or their own projects.
Delivered by a diverse teaching team (Montessori Guides, psychologists, physiotherapists, early intervention experts, among others) and led by Miriam Escacena, Montessori Guide and Positive Discipline educator, the postgraduate program combines a solid theoretical foundation with practice in Montessori schools.
What it consists of
It includes access to a 24/7 virtual campus, live classes (80% attendance required), professional videos, PDF guides, audios, and monthly practical exercises. Students will learn the scientific foundations of Montessori, child development, prepared environment, use of scientific materials, positive education, first aid, early intervention, and curricular adaptation.
Divided into three blocks, the program covers: Scientific foundations and Montessori philosophy (life of Maria Montessori, sensitive periods, observation, human tendencies); Montessori 0-3 years (prenatal, cognitive, motor development, attachment, materials); and Montessori 3-6 years (learning areas, cosmic education, conflict resolution). Evaluation includes monthly tests, weekly activities, a final essay, album sheets, video presentations, and a practice period (minimum 100 hours).
The postgraduate program offers a university degree that enhances job opportunities and may count as a merit in competitive exams in Spain.
